What:
Los Angeles Police Department, 77th Street Homicide Detectives along with City Councilman Mark Ridley Thomas, and the victims’ family will hold a Press Conference to release the photograph and the identity of a local gang member wanted for murder and attempt murder. The rifle used in the murder will also be on display.

Los Angeles:. On Tuesday, January 22, 2002, victim Luis Gamez, and his brother, victim Oscar Gamez were employed as unarmed security guards at the "Plaza Vermont" apartments located at 960 W. 62nd Place. Both victims were standing near the front entrance to the building when suspect Robert Anthony Bradley approached them and shot them numerous times with a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle. Luis Gamez was shot several times and fatally wounded. Oscar Gamez was treated at a local hospital for his multiple gunshot wounds. A witness at the scene disarmed suspect Robert Anthony Bradley of his weapon. Bradley fled from the scene to an unknown location, leaving his weapon at the scene.
Prior to the shooting, one of the victims stopped and questioned suspect Robert Anthony Bradley regarding some graffiti that he (Bradley) had spray-painted within the apartment complex. Suspect Robert Anthony Bradley is an active local gang member known on the streets as "Smokey." Bradley is responsible for the murder of Luis Gamez and the attempted murder of Oscar Gamez and should be considered armed and dangerous. A felony warrant has been issued for Bradley’s arrest.
