Los Angeles: Robbery-Homicide Division personnel are continuing to seek information regarding the murders of William Coleman, age 41, and Ronee Grays, age 29, who were shot and killed on March 16, 2002 at approximately 12:15 p.m. at 67th Street and Normandie Avenue. The victims were in Mr. Coleman’s red Ford Astro van when a suspect approached the van and shot both victims.
Mr. Coleman was a resident of Los Angeles and was scheduled to graduate in two weeks from California State University, Los Angeles, where he was a history major and on the National Dean’s List.
Mr. Coleman’s funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Crenshaw Christian Center, 7901 South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles.
It is likely that the community persons witnessed the crime and may have information that will assist in identifying the responsible suspects. Robbery-Homicide Division detectives will be present at the funeral and will be available to address news media inquiries regarding this incident.
