Canoga Park: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide and Valley Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in gathering information regarding the undetermined death of a male found in an alleyway.
On January 1, 2023, around 8:55 a.m., a citizen discovered an unconscious male, lying face down on the side of an east/west alley way near the east side of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, north of Schoenborn Street. The citizen flagged down Los Angeles Fire Department, who pronounced the male deceased at scene.
Preliminarily, the cause of death is unknown. The male is described as possibly Hispanic, around 50 to 60 years of age. His identity will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
Valley Bureau Homicide and Valley Traffic Division are conducting the investigation and are looking for any witnesses who were in the immediate alley way area or the nearby parking lot.
