Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.Los Angeles: On May 13, 2023, at 8:45 p.m., a bicyclist was struck by a white older model Nissan Sentra at the intersection of Hoover Street and Carondelet Street. The bicyclist landed on the hood and windshield of the vehicle and rolled off the vehicle landing on the street. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid or identifying him or herself. The Nissan Sentra will likely have front end, hood, and windshield damage.
The Los Angeles Fire Department transported the bicyclist to a local hospital where he was admitted for his non-life-threatening, severe injuries.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a HitandRun Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
