North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for the death of a security guard.
On May 31, 2023, around 3:40 a.m., North Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to the 3300 block of Cahuenga Blvd for a radio call of a ‘man down’. Upon arrival, officers discovered an illegal gambling establishment, as well as a security guard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the security guard deceased at scene.
Operations Valley Bureau Homicide assumed the investigation and determined that two male suspects with ski masks entered the rear entrance of the building, both armed with shoulder fired weapons. The security guard observed both suspects and removed a pistol from his waist. One suspect pointed his rifle and fired multiple times, striking the security guard. After searching the building for money, both suspects fled out of the rear door without any property.
