Head-On Collision Kills Two NR23178mp

Lake Balboa: On June 29, 2023, around 9:35 p.m., a white, 2014, Honda Accord with two occupants, was traveling northbound on Woodley Avenue north of Burbank Boulevard when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a gray, 2020, Honda Civic. The gray Honda Civic with four occupants, was traveling southbound Woodley Avenue south of Victory Boulevard when it was struck by the white Honda.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported five victims from the involved vehicles to local hospitals.

Both occupants of the white Accord, were transported to local hospitals. The driver is described as a male, in his 30s, in critical condition. The passenger is described as a female, in her 30s, with moderate injuries.

Three occupants of the gray Civic were also transported to local hospitals. The driver is described as a male in his 30’s with minor injuries. The front-passenger is described as a 27-year-old female with minor injuries. The first rear passenger, described as a 5-year-old male child was also transported, and pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The second rear-passenger, described as a 60-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at-scene by paramedics. The identities of the two decedents have not been released, pending next-of-kin notification.

Valley Traffic detectives have assumed investigative responsibilities. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

All drivers are reminded to obey all traffic laws and drive on the right side of the road with due care for public safety.
