Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested and Charged: Detectives Seeking Additional Victims NR23195wm

Northridge:  On July 7, 2023, Edgar Munoz, an English teacher at Polytechnic High School, was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with ten counts of Unlawful Sex with a Minor and five counts of Oral Copulation, Court Case Number. PA100619.  The charges resulted from a sexual assault investigation involving an inappropriate relationship with a minor that began in 2019 in Chatsworth. Edgar Munoz, a 43-year-old male, engaged in a sexual relationship with one of his teen students, with some sexual encounters occurring on school grounds & during school hours.

Devonshire Area Sexual Assault investigators are releasing the suspect’s booking photo because they believe the suspect is responsible for additional, unreported sexual assaults and they are asking for anyone that was victimized by this suspect to immediately contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
