Granada Hills: The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that killed a man in his 80’s.
On August 24, 2023, around 6:00 a.m., a Black, 2019, Honda, Accord, was traveling southbound on Balboa Boulevard at Sesnon Avenue when it collided with a Silver, 2006 Toyota, Corolla. The Toyota was negotiating a left turn from eastbound Sesnon Avenue to northbound Balboa Boulevard when the collision occurred.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver and sole occupant of the Toyota dead at scene. He was an elderly male, approximately 80-years-old. His identity will not be released pending notification to the next of kin by the Coroner’s Office.
The Honda driver and sole occupant was not injured, he remained at scene as required by law and is cooperating with the investigation. This investigation is ongoing at this time, anyone who was driving on Balboa Boulevard and Sesnon Avenue around 6:00 a.m. and witnessed the collision is urged to contact Valley Traffic Detectives.
