Wilmington: The Los Angeles Police Department South Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of one and injuries to two other victims.
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, at around 11:30 p.m., Harbor Area patrol officers responded to an “ADW Shots Fired” radio call at the 1000 Block of Sanford Avenue.
When the officers arrived, they located three victims, all suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to a local hospital, where one of the victims, a 53-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries.
The victims were outside socializing when the suspect walked up and open fire, striking all three. The suspect, described only as a male Hispanic, fled from the scene on foot. There is no known motive for the shooting.
