Los Angeles : The family of Joseph Sawyer and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Mr. Sawyer was last seen on September 19, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., at his residence in the 3600 block of West 58th Place. Mr. Sawyer is diagnosed with dementia and is easily lost.

Mr. Sawyer is described as an 87-year-old Black male with a bald head and brown eyes. He stands at 5 feet 9 inches, weighs approximately 170 pounds, and is missing teeth. He was last seen wearing blue jeans. His other clothing is unknown.

Mr. Sawyer has been seen in the area of Chesterfield Square Park and near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. He is possibly using public buses.
