Wilmington: The Los Angeles Police Department- South Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting death of two victims.
On Monday, October 16, 2023, around 5:15 p.m., Harbor Area patrol officers responded to an “Ambulance Shooting” radio call at the 1000 Block of East M Street. When the officers arrived, they located two victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, a 47-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries at scene. The second victim, a 44-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital where he also succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed the victims were outside socializing when the suspect walked up and opened fire, striking both numerous times. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic wearing a face mask. The suspect fled from the scene on foot. There is no known motive for the shooting.
