Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) – NRF072-23ne

Los Angeles: On December 17, 2023, around 7:21 p.m., an on-duty police officer was on the 4th floor of the Foothill station parking structure loading his equipment into the rear of his police vehicle, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) occurred. One round was discharged, striking the pavement floor of the parking structure. An additional police officer was seated in the driver seat of the police vehicle when the discharge occurred. No one was injured as a result of this incident. Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
