On May 24, 1999, at 0240 hours, Devonshire Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an "ADW, shots fired, ambulance en route" in the 15300 block of Parthenia Street, in the community of North Hills. The victim, Oscar Meza, a 19 year-old resident of Canoga Park was found on the sidewalk suffering from numerous gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Meza was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
The follow-up investigation is being conducted by members of the Devonshire Detective Section, CRASH Unit, Devonshire Operations Support Division. Detectives have interviewed the victim.
The suspects are described as a male Black, 5-7, thin build, 160 pounds, 18/24 years of age, armed with an unknown type of firearm. The second suspect is described as a male Hispanic or White, 5-5/5-6, 150/155 pounds, 17/18 years of age
