Fatal Traffic Collision occurs in Valley Traffic Division

On today’s date, at approximately 1155 hours, a 1980 GMC pick truck driven northbound Sheldon Street at Roscoe Boulevard. The driver, Matthew Murray, a 29 year old Palmdale resident crossed onto the opposite side of the roadway and collided with a 1985 Mercury Marquis station wagon driven by Eloy Martinez, a 55 year old Pacoima resident. Martinez wife was also a passenger in the station wagon. Eloy Martinez was transported to Pacifica Hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Martinez and Murray were transported to Holy Cross Hospital where they are listed in stable condition. Murray has been arrested and is guarded at the hospital.
