WHY:
On May 4, 2023, at 11:45 pm, the suspect was driving a newer model Honda Goldwing motorcycle, southbound Western Avenue at 79th Street, when they struck a pedestrian.

The victim was an elderly man, Raymond Peters, who had just parked his vehicle and was crossing Western Avenue when he was struck by the suspect’s motorcycle. The suspect fled the scene but stopped nearby to remove damaged motorcycle parts. Detectives were able to obtain detailed video of the suspect.

South Traffic Detectives will be announcing a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Detectives will also release photos of the suspect and portions of the collision captured on video.
