Detectives Requesting Public’s Help in Locating Richard Alan Minsky

WHAT:
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, Financial Crimes Division, Bunco Detail, are requesting the publics help in locating Richard Alan Minsky.

WHEN:
June 25, 1998 to present.

WHERE:
Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.

WHY:
Minsky has been identified by victims as the individual who called them on the telephone whispering "I’m in trouble I hit someone. I’m in jail." The victims unsure of whom they’re speaking to, offers the name of a husband, daughter or friend to Minsky. Minsky then assumes the identity of that person and victim "if you really love me do whatever the attorney tells you to do."

Minsky then plays the part of the attorney and tells the victim there is a two-year mandatory state prison sentence for hit and run in California. The attorney tells the victim the police will have to release the loved one if the witness to the hit and run can be persuaded not to go to the police in exchange for money an/or sexual favors. The victims are instructed to meet with the "witness" at various locations throughout the Southern California. Minsky has been charged with rape, sexual battery and Grand Theft totaling over $50,000 in Southern California. His bail is $1,000,000 on the LAPD charges.

In April and June 1999, Fox Files T.V. show profiled Richard Minsky’s crimes.

On July 31, 1999, Minsky abandoned his apartment the night he was profiled on America’s Most Wanted.

Minsky has felony warrants out of the following jurisdictions; San Diego, California, Aventura, Florida, Newberry, Massachusetts, Loudoun County, Virginia and a probation want from Boston, Massachusetts. Minsky is aware he is wanted by authorities. Minsky should be considered a flight risk. Minsky uses the AKAs of Paul Davidson and Kenneth Miller
