Chief Dominic H. Choi’s distinguished 28-year career within the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) showcases a commitment to public service and leadership excellence. His progression through various assignments, coupled with promotions to the upper echelons of the organization, highlights a wealth of experience and expertise. Having served as a Commander and Deputy Chief of an Operational Bureau, and Chief of Staff to Chief Michel Moore, Chief Choi possesses a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of law enforcement operations. His later appointments as the Director of Office of Support Services and Office of Operations underscore his strategic leadership in overseeing critical aspects of police administration. In March 2024, Chief Choi achieved a historic milestone by being appointed as the 58th Chief of Police for the City of Los Angeles.
