Javier Ovando Released from Salinas Valley State Prison

On Thursday, September 16, 1999, Javier Ovando, was released from Salinas Valley State Prison. Since that time, Mr. Ovando has been cooperating with officials, including LAPD investigators regarding crimes which may have been committed against him.

Mr. Ovando is not in LAPD custody and he is staying at an undisclosed location for his own safety. Although Mr. Ovando is not in custody, LAPD is not at liberty to release the address of Mr. Ovando’s location at this time.

Mr. Ovando is free to contact, speak or see whomever he wishes and he is free to leave his location at any time.
