Police Conducts Death Investigation on Two Year Old Child

On Sunday, September 19, 1999, at 6:00 P.M., Juvenile Division’s Child Protection Section Detectives investigated the death of a two-year-old female who fell from a third-story bedroom window at her residence located in the 4200 block of Mary Ellen Avenue in Van Nuys Area.

The victim, while playing in her bedroom, apparently climbed upon furniture, gaining access and fell from the window. The victim was transported by rescue ambulance to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the incident appears to be accidental with no foul play involved, however the incident is still under investigation.
