Los Angeles: Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are looking to identify possible additional victims of a suspect arrested for a series of robberies.
Between May 1st and May 19th, 2024, Rampart and Olympic Areas experienced a series of armed robberies where the suspect would target neighborhood convenience stores. Two robberies occurred in the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard, two robberies and an assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the 1100 block of Venice Boulevard, one robbery in the 1800 block of Vermont Avenue, and one robbery in the 1400 block of West 3rd Street. Video surveillance from each incident depicted a male Black suspect, armed with a black semi-auto pistol, entering the businesses and taking merchandise at gunpoint.
Utilizing Department resources, Rampart Robbery Detectives identified the suspect as Yazmir Tavon Bagley, a resident of Los Angeles. On May 21st, 2024, Bagley was located at his residence on the 1100 block of West 17th Street. He was taken into custody without incident. Bagley was positively identified by the victim and was arrested for 245(A)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon and an outstanding Felony Warrant from Inglewood Police Department (booking #6817198). During the search of his residence, a replica pellet gun similar to what the suspect used was found and booked as evidence.

After several follow-up investigations, Robbery Detectives obtained positive identification from the other victims from the abovementioned incidents. Detectives are working with the District Attorney’s Office and will be able to successfully file and clear six Rampart Area crimes and one Olympic Area crime.
Detectives are releasing the suspect’s booking photo because they believe the suspect is responsible for additional unreported robberies. They are asking for anyone who believes they were a victim of this suspect to contact the Los Angeles Police Department immediately.
