Vermont Vista: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Community Safety Partnership Bureau (CSPB) is pleased to announce the opening of the newest Neighborhood Engagement Area (NEA) based at Algin Sutton Recreation Center in Southeast Division.
The opening celebration took place on June 8, 2024, at Algin Sutton Recreation Center and featured speeches from Los Angeles City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Council District 8, as well as Los Angeles Police Department Chief Dominic Choi. The event was attended by over 500 adults and children from local neighborhoods who were connected with resource providers and had the opportunity to meet their local CSPB officers.
This marks the 11th site for CSPB, which places dedicated officers into NEA’s to focus on relationship-building, creating a greater sense of safety, and connecting community members with necessary resources.
