"Detectives Investigate a Stabbing Murder"
Hollywood – On Sunday, March 19, 2000, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Hollywood Patrol officers responded to a call of a stabbing in the 1800 block of North Cherokee Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a male, 36 years of age, who had sustained what appeared to be several stab wounds.
A Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded and attempted to render aid, but the victim subsequently expired from his wounds at the scene.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this time. Detectives are currently interviewing possible witnesses in an attempt to identify the suspect, or suspects.
