"Drive Bye Shooting Injures Three Victims Walking"
Los Angeles – On April 5, 2000, at 12:05 a.m. a drive bye shooting occurred on the southwest corner of 11th Street and Lake Street. Unknown suspects approached three victims walking westbound 11th Street from Lake Street. The suspects fired several gunshots at the victims from their vehicle. All three victims sustained gunshot wounds. Two victims described as male, Hispanics, one received a gunshot to the leg and the other was injured in the abdomen. The third victim, described as a male, Caucasian, received a gunshot wound to the chest. The three victims were transported to a local hospital, which two victims are in stable condition, and the other victim was listed as stable but continued to be monitored for an extreme heart rate resulting from the ingestion of cocaine.
The suspects are being sought and the investigation is still on going, it has not been determined if this incident is gang related.
