Hit-and-Run Leaves Two Pedestrians Severely Injured
Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division are seeking the public’s help to identify the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that left two pedestrians severely injured.
On November 18, 2024, around 8:37 p.m., two pedestrians were walking eastbound, crossing Western Avenue at Monette Avenue, when they were struck by a gray 2018-2024 Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Western Avenue. The driver failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the victims as required by law. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on Western Avenue towards 11th Street.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported a 27-year-old male and a 28-year-old female to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
The public is also reminded that pedestrians must obey all traffic laws and cross the street when it is safe.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
