"Gang Related Drive-by Shooting Injures Two Young Adults"
Los Angeles – On Friday, August 25, 2000, at approximately 11:25 p.m., a 19 year-old Hispanic female, and an 18 year-old Hispanic male were seated on a two foot high block wall talking to friends in the 1100 block of Queen Ann Place. During their conversation, someone in a mid-90’s, 4 door, White Nissan Maxima, occupied by multiple unidentified passengers, drove north on Queen Ann Place and fired multiple gunshots striking the 18 and 19 year olds multiple times. Both victims were transported by paramedics to a local hospital where they were treated for gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Both victims are listed in stable condition.
The motive for the shooting appears to be gang related. The suspects are believed to be 3-5 male Hispanics between the ages of 18 and 20. No further description is yet available.
