Los Angeles: Harbor Area Homicide Detectives, and the Honorable Councilwoman Janice Hahn, will today announce several $25,000 cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in five murders during three separate incidents.
The first murder victim, 19 year-old Reginald Lekeith Resse, was found dead on December 6, 1995, in a parking lot near the 700 block of North Front street adjacent to the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro. Shot execution style, there are no known suspects attributed to this murder.
The second murder scene involved two victims. On January 5, 2000, victims Jonathan A. Logan and Ulysses E. Scott, were sitting on the front porch of a residence located on the 500 block of West 14th street in San Pedro. At approximately 11:45 p.m., three unidentified male Hispanics approached them, one suspect pulled out a gun, and both victims were fatally shot.
The third homicide also involved two victims who were shot to death. On January 31, 2000, at approximately 11:30 p.m., victims Cher Mitchell and Melody A. Brewer, were near a parked vehicle located on the 700 block of West 15th Street in San Pedro.
Victim Mitchell was standing next to the passenger door, and victim Brewer was sitting inside the vehicle, as the unknown male suspect approached and shot them to death.
Los Angeles City Councilwoman, Janice Hahn, petitioned the Los Angeles City Council, for three separate $25,000 rewards to assist detectives in the solving these homicides.
The homicide victim’s photos and family members will be present at the press conference, and will be available for media purposes.
