Man Shot Dead in Mid-City NR17094ml

Mid-City: The Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead inside of a residence in the Mid-City area.

On Saturday, April 1, 2017, at about 2:00 a.m., LAPD officers responded to a call of a shooting at Venice Boulevard and South Redondo Boulevard.

When officers arrived they were directed to the victim, who had suffered from multiple gunshot wounds inside of a residence. The victim was unconscious and unresponsive.

The Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Witnesses report that a group of men had been drinking inside of the residence, when an unknown suspect fired shots, killing the victim.

The motive of the homicide appears to be gang related.

The victim was identified as Francisco Gomez, 41 year-old, Male, Hispanic of Los Angeles.
