Why:
Chief Bratton will unveil the ‘new and improved’ LAPD website and provide updated crime statistics. Also being showcased is the Department’s Reserve Officer Program.

In an effort to recruit reserve officers, the Los Angeles Police Department will launch a series of radio recruitment advertisements aimed at informing the public of the vast opportunities available to those who wish to serve their community. The radio ads are voiced by top movie trailer and television voice-over artist Ashton Smith who is also an LAPD reserve officer.

During the media availability, LAPD personnel will demonstrate new features on www.lapdonline.org, several reserve officers will be available for interviews and copies of the radio ad will be distributed.
