Rewards Totaling $150K Offered to Help Solve Three Hit-and-Run Cases

WHY:              
To encourage members of the community who may have information about these hit-and-run incidents to come forward and to give detectives a chance to provide more details.  A reward of $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible in each of the following hit-and-run cases:

•Nov. 8, 2008, at around 12:45 p.m.-  71-year-old Royce Miles was riding in his motorized wheelchair across 47th Street at Central Avenue when he had a fatal collision with a hit-and-run driver.
•Dec. 13, 2008, at about 10:10 p.m.-  45-year-old Jorge Miranda Mota was crossing San Pedro Street at 27th Street when he was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver.
•Dec. 17, 2009, at around 6:30 p.m.-  75-year-old Eop Dong Yoo died from coming into contact with a hit-and-run driver as she attempted to cross Westmoreland Avenue near Pico Boulevard.  

In all of the above cases, witnesses provided little or no suspect vehicle descriptions and were unable to provide license plate numbers.
