WHY:
In March 2002, the voters in Los Angeles passed Proposition Q, a $600 million dollar public safety measure to improve, renovate and expand public safety facilities.

The 54,000 square feet, state-of-the art “Green” facility will house more than 282 patrol officers, detectives and support staff who will serve the diverse communities who live, work or visit the 15.8 square mile area.    

Captain Anita Ortega will welcome the public to tour the new police station and its grounds which are embellished with significant artwork reflecting the history of the heritage of the community.

Those attending the event will view displays from some of the Department’s specialized units, be entertained by the local talent and enjoy a “Taste of Hollenbeck” samples of cuisine from the many restaurants that are encompassed within Hollenbeck Area.
