WHY:
To facilitate an open dialogue with members of the LGBTQ community and the LAPD and create an opportunity for community members to meet with Chief Beck and his command staff to discuss topics of concern.  Chief Beck will also discuss the continued efforts made by the LAPD to strengthen partnerships with the LGBTQ community, including updates from the LAPD about the fourth LGBT Community Police Academy and recruitment outreach efforts within the City of Los Angeles.
