WHY:
On Monday, April 21, 2014, 44-year-old, John Lubben was beaten by two male Hispanics, Martin Santana and Hugo Parra, in a group-home where the three men lived.  The suspects initially pulled the victim from his upper bunk onto a hard-surfaced floor then repeatedly kicked and punched him.  Suspects Santana and Parra also bludgeoned Victim Lubben with a bicycle rim and dragged him from the home to lay helpless outside.  At one point, Mr. Lubben was thrown onto several trash cans in the yard of the property.  The victim suffered a skull fracture and was ultimately taken to the hospital by ambulance.  The victim died less than 48-hours after he was admitted.

Detectives from LAPD’s Criminal Gang Homicide Division are asking for the public’s help to locate the suspects.  In addition, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has issued arrest warrants for Suspects Santana and Parra for savagely beating Mr. Lubben.

ADDITIONAL:
Photographs of the suspects will be made available at the news conference, as well as a Spanish speaking detective.
