UPDATE
January 12, 2015

This morning, the victim was found in good
condition.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is
asking for the public’s help to identify and verify the safety of a
woman who was kidnapped.

On the early morning hours of December 20, 2014, officers from
Northeast Division responded to a “Kidnap Just Occurred” radio call
in the 5600 block of York Boulevard. When they arrived, they were
told that a female got out of a gray or silver colored sport
utility vehicle (SUV), then walked into the business. The victim
ordered a coffee then sat down to send what appeared to be text
messages or e-mails from her phone.

At 5:55 a.m., the woman left the business with her black coat and
purse and walked toward Avenue 56. Approximately 46 seconds later,
the same SUV that dropped her off earlier, pulled alongside her and
abruptly stopped. The woman immediately ran back into the business.
The driver of the SUV followed her into the business, threw her to
the ground and dragged the victim outside. The suspect and victim
argued for approximately two minutes then the suspect forced the
victim into the passenger side of the SUV. After the assault and
kidnapping, officers searched the area, but were not able to locate
her, the suspect or the SUV.

The victim is described as a female Hispanic between 20 to
30-years-old, who stands approximately 5’4″ tall and weighs an
estimated 130 pounds. She has a long brown or black hair and a
tattoo of what appears to be a Hibiscus Flower on her left
shoulder.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic between 25 to
30-years-old, who stands approximately 5’10” to 6’1″ tall.

Concerned for the victim’s well-being, detectives from LAPD’s
Northeast Division are urging the public to view the photographs of
the victim and provide any information about her identity and
welfare.
