UPDATE on CARE ALERT: Mother Sought in the Abduction of 4-year old Son NR151115ml

UPDATE
On April 8, 2015, around 6:20 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan
Police Department located Jasmine Tatum and 4-year-old Cameron
Tatum in the 4800 block of Boulder Highway, in the City of Las
Vegas. Jasmine Tatum was arrested and booked for 278 PC-Child
Stealing. She is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

4-year-old Cameron Tatum was is in good condition and was released
to the custody of DCFS. He will be reunited with his father, Adrian
Shoppell as soon as possible.

Hollenbeck Division’s Major Assault Crime detectives were notified
of the arrest and are currently working on Jasmine Tatum’s
extradition.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s
Hollenbeck Division and Daniel Adrian Shoppell, the father of
4-year-old Cameron Tatum, is requesting the public’s help in
locating Cameron.

On Wednesday, April 1, 2015, around 3:00 p.m., Mr. Shoppell, who
has sole legal custody of Cameron, agreed to a two hour visit with
Cameron’s mother, Jasmine Tatum.

When Cameron was not returned, Mr. Shoppell made numerous attempts
to contact Ms. Tatum who failed to return the child. Mr. Shoppell
visited numerous locations where Ms. Tatum was known to frequent
but was not successful in locating him. Soon after, Mr. Shoppell
reported Cameron missing to the Los Angeles Police
Department.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 9:45 a.m., Mr. Shoppell received a
text message from Ms. Tatum that Cameron would be dropped off at
10:00 a.m., at the Taxi Zone at Union Station. After receiving the
text message he immediately drove to Union Station to look for his
son. Mr. Shoppell searched the property of Union Station but did
not find young Cameron. It is not known if Cameron was dropped off
at, or around, Union Station.

Cameron Tatum is 4-years-old, described as a male Black, with a
light complexion. He has black hair, brown eyes, stands 3 feet
tall, and weighs 35 lbs. He was last seen wearing a short sleeve
grey button down shirt, tan shorts and blue Nike tennis
shoes.

The suspect,
26-year-old Ms. Tatum, is described as a female Black, with brown
hair and brown eyes. She is 5’02” tall, and weighs 110
pounds.
