Newton Detectives Announce the Effort to Replace Boy’s Stolen Leg Braces NA15116jr

WHO: Ms. Analilia Ramirez and son Newton Auto Detectives and Officers LAPD Officer Peter Repovich, Los Angeles Police Protective League.

WHY: On June 9, 2015, around 6:30 a.m., Los Angeles resident Analilia Ramirez discovered that her vehicle had been burglarized. The unknown suspect stole several items including the vehicle battery and miscellaneous tools worth over $250.00.

However, the most important items stolen were her 9-year-old child’s expensive orthopedic leg braces. After learning that the young boy’s braces were taken from him and that he relies on them for walking, the officers and other LAPD personnel have organized efforts to replace the braces the child needs to be fully mobile.

Both the young man and his mother will be available for comment at the Newton Area Station.
