LAPD Collects Holiday Gifts for Operation Christmas Child; NA15222jk

WHAT: For the 4rd consecutive year, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) will contribute to Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Department personnel will collect toys, clothing and school supplies, then wrap the gifts in a holiday-wrapped shoe box that will be distributed to needy children around the world.

WHEN & WHERE: LAPD Central, Hollenbeck, Newton, Northeast, Rampart, Harbor, 77th Street, Southeast, Southwest Area Community Police Stations, as well as Central and South Traffic Divisons. November 18-22, 2015 Donations accepted 24-hours a day

LAPD Devonshire, Foothill, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, West Valley, Mission, Topanga, Hollywood, Pacific, West Los Angeles, Wilshire, Olympic Area Community Police Stations, as well as Valley and South Traffic Divisons. November 18-22, 2015 Donations accepted 24-hours a day

WHY: In the far corners of the world, an impoverished child will receive a shoebox filled with toys, clothing and school supplies from generous Los Angelenos this holiday season. Delivered by creative and non-traditional means including canoes, elephants, dog sleds and camels, the gift filled shoeboxes will touch the lives of over 100 million children in over 140 countries.
