Man Suffered Fatal Gunshot Wound Seeking Two
Persons of Interest

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department and Newton Homicide detectives are asking for the
public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the
identification of two persons of interest.

On May 16, 2018, around 7:45 a.m., Newton officers responded to a
radio call of an “Ambulance Shooting”, in the area of Fortuna
Avenue and 57th Street, in the City of Los Angeles. When officers
arrived they found the victim, later identified as 40-year-old
Victor Orduna, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Earlier, the victim had exited his residence and was on his way to
work when the shooting occurred. Los Angeles Fire Department
paramedics responded and transported Orduna to a local hospital
where he later died from his injuries. Detectives conducted a
follow-up investigation and located surveillance video capturing
two males riding their bicycle in the area before and after the
shooting.

The first person of interest is described as a male Black, 20-30
years of age, riding a white “fixie” type of bicycle.

The second person of interest is described as a male Hispanic,
20-30 years of age, riding a peach or pink beach cruiser and
wearing an orange reflector vest.
