Why: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Area has a longstanding commitment to supporting various events in the community throughout the holidays. In 2017, while visiting Lorena Elementary, school officers learned that many children did not have coats during the winter months or for the holidays. LAPD Hollenbeck Area started the “Coats for Kids” drive last year and was able to deliver over 90 coats to the kids that attend Lorena Elementary School. This year, Hollenbeck Officers purchased coats for the kids and with the generous support and contribution from Equinox Fitness, over 170 coats will be delivered to Lorena Street Elementary School.

Equinox Fitness is an American luxury fitness company which operates several separate fitness brands: Equinox, PURE Yoga, Blink Fitness, and SoulCycle.

CONTACT: For more information or to donate coats, please contact Hollenbeck Community Relations at 323-342-4100.
