New LAPD Deputy Chief and Commander Promotions Announced

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore is pleased to announce the promotion of Commander Blake Chow as Deputy Chief for the Department’s Transit Services Bureau. In this new role Chow will oversee the city’s four traffic divisions as well as the safety and security for MTA’s bus and rail lines in the city limits. Chow is a 29 year veteran of the Department and has served a number of various roles from Patrol to Risk Management.

Also promoted was Central Area Captain Marc Reina, who will now serve as the Commander for the Department’s Central Bureau. Reina has worked hard to build relationships and engage residents in the heart of Los Angeles. Reina has been with the Department for more than 20 years and has spent most of his career in Operations.

Both promotions will be effective in the beginning of March.
