Los Angeles: Homicide detectives
from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Area are asking for
the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to
the identification of the suspect, or suspects, responsible for
killing a 36-year-old man.

On December 26, 2018, around 6:00 p.m., Newton Area officers
responded to an “Ambulance Cutting” radio call at Central Avenue
and Vernon Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male
victim, later identified as Alejandro Saenz, laying on the sidewalk
of Central Avenue, suffering from a stab wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported
Saenz to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.


Person of Interest

A photo was pulled from video surveillance footage, depicting a
person of interest seen leaving the area. That person is described
as a male Hispanic, with long bushy hair, wearing a plaid
shirt.
