Shooting Kills 28-Year-Old-Man in South Los Angeles NR19044ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for killing a man.

On Friday, February 15, 2019, around 9:58 p.m., officers assigned to Newton Area responded to a radio call of “Ambulance Shooting,” near the 4100 block of South Wall Street. When officers arrived, they were directed to 28-years-old Donte Jones, who was a victim of a shooting.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported Jones to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. It is unclear the reason for the shooting and it is unknown if the shooting is gang related.
