Young Man Killed in Boyle Heights Shooting NR17365rh

Boyle Heights: The Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the murder of Javier Muñoz.

On December 5, 2017, around 12:50 p.m., Hollenbeck patrol officers responded to an alley located in the 3500 block of E. 6th Street in the City of Los Angeles. Mr. Muñoz was walking in the alley when he was struck by gunfire multiple times.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and transported Mr. Muñoz to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

There is no suspect description and the motive for the shooting appears to be gang-related.
