"Attempt Murder Suicide"

Sylmar – On Monday, November 6, 2000, at 11:41 a.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to an "ADW Shots Fired" radio call at 12752 Bromont Avenue in Sylmar. Upon arrival, the officers were met by the Los Angeles Fire Department personnel who directed officers to two victims of gunshot wounds. The crime scene evidence and witness statements indicated a possible attempt murder/suicide had occurred. The victims, a male White in his 20’s and a male Hispanic in his 20’s, were transported to local hospitals where they died as a result of their injuries.

The victims have not been positively identified at this time.

The motive is unknown. The weapon is in custody.

Foothill Area Detectives, under the direction of Captain John Egan, Commanding Officer Foothill Operations Support Division are handling the investigation.
