WHAT: LAPD To Host the Largest Free Youth Baseball Event This Summer! The Grand Finale Rivalry Baseball Game, Dates Back 130 Years!

WHEN: Friday, July 21, 2017 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: El Cariso Community Regional Park 13100 Hubbard Street, Sylmar, CA 91342

WHO: LAPD and LA County Sheriff’s

WHY: LAPD Baseball Team will host and welcome a thousand plus kids and families to their 15th Annual Swing-A-Thon Event this Friday. The free public event features a baseball clinic instructed by LAPD Officers and LA Dodger Alumnus Manny Mota and Ron Cey. Also featured will be several Public Safety displays by both LAPD and LA Sheriff’s, interactive games with a rock wall and bouncers, face painting and other interactive booths, hula hoop, dance, baseball trivia, and rap contests for big prizes including LA Dodger tickets and bikes, free popcorn/shaved ice/beverage booths, and a rap performance by LAPD Officers Michael Scott and Aaron Thompson entitled “Just Say No” as part of their anti drugs, gangs, crime, bullying campaign.
