Man Shot & Killed In Pacoima NR18176jl

Pacoima: On Friday, June 29th, 2018, around 12:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Area uniformed patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting that occurred near Brownell Street and Woodcock Avenue.

When the officers arrived, they discovered that the victim had sustained multiple gun-shot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics attempted emergency medical aid with negative results. The victim was pronounced dead at scene.

Los Angeles Police Department Operations Valley Bureau Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene, where they assumed investigative responsibilities. The victim appeared to have been sitting/standing on the north sidewalk of Brownell Street when unknown suspect(s) approached and shot him numerous times. Witnesses describe seeing a small unknown type of car fleeing the scene. The victim is a known resident of the community. It’s unknown whether this incident is gang related.
