Harbor Community Police Station To Unveil a New "Crime Buster" Program

On Monday, January 24, 2000, at 11:00 a.m., Harbor Division will announce during an inaugural press conference, a new Community Action Network (CAN) "Crime Buster" program in front of Harbor Community Police Station.

The "Crime Buster" program is a tool that allows and encourages the community and the police to more effectively communicate suspect information. It provides the community with a safe and confidential method to report the identity of suspects involved in violent crimes or suspicious activity, in addition to the already established communication procedures. The reporting person may choose to give their name or remain anonymous.

Police Detectives have a difficult task investigating criminal activity without the help of the community. Community members are encouraged to report everything they see when a crime occurs and to report other suspicious activity. Community members can mail suspicious activity reports to the detectives at Harbor Community Police Station, or they may also leave a message on the Crime Buster Hotline.

For further information, please call Officer Pedro at 310-548-7601.
