Homicide in Harbor Area NR13192cj

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect who robbed two locations in the Harbor area.

On June 8, 2013, around 8 a.m., LAPD Harbor Area officer received a shooting call in the 1600 block of Wilmington Boulevard in Wilmington.  When officers arrived they found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.  Los Angeles City Fire responded and transported the victim, later identified as 42-year-old Walter Jaminson, to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

LAPD Harbor Homicide detectives’ investigation revealed that as the victim stood near the sidewalk, an unknown suspect shot victim several times, ran from the scene into a waiting car.  There is no description of the suspect(s).  The car is described as a possible black SUV. It is unknown if this incident is gang related.
