Shooting Leaves One Dead NR19278ti

Wilmington: Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of 40-year-old Miguel Perez. On Thursday, October 10, 2019, around 11:49 p.m., Harbor Area Patrol officers responded to a radio call of “Assault with a Deadly Weapon shooting” near the area of Young Street just east of Dominguez Avenue. Officers arrived and located Miguel on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and head.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to render aid; however, Miguel succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Residents reported hearing gunshots but did not see a suspect or vehicle.
