Nightclub Shooting Leaves Security Guard Injured NR11012kr

Los Angeles: A disturbance at a Hollywood nightclub escalated to a shooting late Friday night, leaving a security guard suffering from a gunshot wound.

On January 7, 2011, at around 11:45 p.m., at a nightclub in the 6600 Block of Hollywood Boulevard, a shooting occurred when the club’s security guard was attempting to quell a disturbance between patrons. The suspect fired a handgun, hitting the security guard in the torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.

To date there have been no arrests, but the investigation is ongoing.
