$75,000 Reward Being Offered; Woman shot and killed on Christmas Day NR11019gb

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect responsible for gunning down a woman in front of her daughter in South Los Angeles.

On December 25, 2010, at about 10:20 p.m., 25-year-old Kashmier James was visiting a friend, in the 1700 block of West 85th Street.  As the victim and her daughter were standing in the street, the suspects drove by in a dark colored SUV.  The suspects are described only as two male Blacks in their twenties.  One of the suspects got out of the SUV and walked towards James, pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds at her.

The gunman then ran west back towards the waiting SUV.  The suspects then drove away southbound on Western Avenue from 85th Street.  James suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.

The Los Angeles City Council and The County of Los Angeles have approved a reward of $75,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this vicious crime.
